No.

I have morals and respect.

If I agree to a transaction I will complete that transaction. If the transaction is in my favor that's not a scam.

If however someone gives me 100 ectos instead of 10. I'm gonna give back the other 90. If I do the reverse like giving 1 instead of 10 and the error is noticed by either party I will rectify the error.

Scammers just plain suck. They waste time and spread paranoia. I hope they sit on a rusty nail.

I did make a math mistake with some materials when I sold them to another player, but I have never maliciously "scammed" someone.

I've seen way more scammers than I'd ever like to. I've been scammed twice total. Just yesterday I ran into about 5 of them... one was lucky enough. It seems every time i run into a new scammer i have to remove a friend from my friends list to add that scammer to my ignore list.

Back when DOA came out, when the OF tanks did foundry, I had a warrior steal 2 of my titan gem drops because he was on one side of the wall and we were all on the other. Basically the gems timed out, he picked up and signed off. That to me is scamming. So I joined his guild full meaning to get to officer rank, at which I was going to disband the guild. It was a nice guild , so i told the guild leader who made him give me back what he stole.

If someone agrees to a price , which is either a lot higher or lower than the market value of the item, that is not scamming. Scamming is misrepresentation.

I would probably have r6 KOBD right now if it weren't for the scammers. trust me, you lose a lot of motivation when you get scammed. You can say "but trade window was open, you should have seen it". Sometimes it's hard to spot if done very well.

only buy low sell high, guess it's not scamming

================================
another time, a little tricky.....here's the story
in a FOW run. a guy has a shard dropped for him. He didn't pick it up. I told him twice at that moment but got no respond. I remembered the location, waited for everyone to get out after the run and picked it up. I didn't mention about the shard ADVISEDLY after asking him 2 times.

do you think I scammed?

Well I've never scammed, just taken advantage of....

But if someone puts like 100k instead of 10k in a trade window, I will pm them and tell em they put up the wrong amount

never taken advantage of or scammed anyone.

having been a runner back in the Proph days, I know how it feels to be scammed, and people that do it deliberately and intentionally are disgusting.

Shiz ... how can you even respect yourself? I'm sure no one else here does. Scamming sucks, and scammers suck the most.

it's really nice to find people that are legitimately nice (and I don't mean generous). it gives me faith in humanity, though is depressing how rare these instances are.

I'd rather maintain my good name in the game than try to scam someone and gain the reputation of a scumbag.

Scamming, to me, is a piss-poor reflection on the person doing it and the guild they're in.

been scammed? Yes. Scam people? No.

In fact the bad taste of being scammed for all my money 2 weeks after the first time playing, is the one that push me to play and be nice in this game.

I have never scammed anyone... I have been scammed before. I'll never be rich either from power selling cause if someone tells me the price of something and its a fair bit lower then the market value I will tell them and give them market value. Granted, I suck at pcs and have to get them all the time so mostly this applies to stuff I can look up for myself. So if I accept something at a lower price then should be its not in malice lol. Just yesterday I gave someone 30k for a green they were asking 20k for... >.< I could not bring myself to just take it for 20k.

No, its not really. The basic stuff is not expensive to get and there is farming etc. if you want more. Taking advantage of another players lack of knowledge is not what you need to do to survive in gw.

now buying something cheap isnt a scam in my book i sell things cheap at times to move them even though the person could possibly sell for double. its just im sick of holding onto an item only got so much storage. dont know why everyone relates this to scamming i always know the price it goes for. if it getting a black dye for 50 gold them maybe yes your scamming if the person doesnt know the correct price but otherwise it isnt if they know.

No. I don't have a problem grinding (I might not like it in games, but I can't deny I still do it excessively) for items and there's nothing worth taking.

I scammed the scammer once. In Diablo 2.

He tried to make a run, but he wanted to get Ist rune for it. But to be sure he wouldn't cheat us, he would give us Shako (worth ~pul-um, so a bit less). We tried to trade, then he canceled and said ,,lol sorry''. Then he immediately put up... Peasant Crown - exactly same skin, only brown instead of Shako's green, and pressed check immediately. So I put up Eld rune instead and accepted. Then right after the trade he left the game.

Funnily enough, after like 5 minutes he PMed me ,,LOL YOU SCAMMED ME!!!''. Hey, it was a fair trade - worthless rune for worthless item.
